Online counselling gives you access to full, evidence-based therapeutic support from wherever you are — your home, your garden, or anywhere you feel comfortable.
Sessions are delivered via secure video call and draw on the same approaches as in-person counselling, including animal-assisted techniques adapted for an online environment.
For many clients, the online format is not a compromise — it's actually their preferred way to work.
Your first session is always held online, and there's a good reason for that.
It gives us a relaxed, unhurried space to get to know each other, talk through what you're looking for, and build your personalised care plan together — from the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you.
From there, we decide together what your ongoing sessions will look like, whether that's continuing online, moving to in-person, walk and talk, or a combination that works for you.
Getting to an appointment can feel like one more thing on an already overwhelming list.
Online sessions remove that barrier entirely.
You can attend from anywhere in Australia, at flexible times including evenings.
Your own pets are warmly welcome to join you — their presence during a session supports your nervous system in exactly the same way as in-person animal contact, and for many clients it becomes one of the most meaningful parts of their work.
If you have a garden or outdoor space, you're welcome to sit outside during your session too.
Nature doesn't have to stay out of online therapy.
Sessions are available in three lengths to suit different needs, schedules, and budgets.
The standard session length, suitable for most therapeutic work including initial and ongoing sessions.
Ideal for deeper exploration, complex topics, or when you'd like more time and space to process.
A shorter, more affordable option for maintaining regular contact between longer sessions, or when time or energy is limited.
Please note: 30-minute check-ins are available to current or returning clients.
No travel required — attend from wherever feels comfortable, anywhere in Australia.
Your own animals can be part of the session, extending the benefits of animal-assisted counselling into your everyday environment.
Flexible scheduling, including evening appointments, makes it easier to fit sessions around work, family, and other commitments.
Many clients find it easier to open up from their own familiar space, which can reduce anxiety and increase openness from the very first session.
The 30-minute check-in option supports consistent engagement for those managing tighter schedules or budgets.
You can combine them with other services to make the sessions more cost effective, walk & talk or in person.
Online sessions work best when you have a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly, and a reliable internet or phone connection.
Some aspects of non-verbal communication can be harder to pick up on screen, which is something I'm mindful of and work around thoughtfully.
If at any point we identify that a different format would serve you better, we'll explore that together and I'll always help connect you with the right support.
Online counselling is not a crisis or emergency service.
If you are in immediate distress, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or call 000.
If you're not sure, that's completely okay — most people aren't at first.
The initial session is specifically designed to answer that question together, without any pressure or commitment beyond that first conversation.
We'll talk through what you're looking for, how you like to work, and whether this format feels right for you.
If it turns out something else suits you better, we'll figure that out together too.
Online sessions are available across Australia with flexible appointment times.
Your first step is a free 15-minute introductory call — a no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit.
