In-home counselling brings professional, evidence-based therapeutic support directly to you — in your own space, surrounded by what already feels familiar and safe.
Rather than travelling to an office or clinic, I come to you — bringing professional therapeutic support into a private and comfortable space that's already yours.
The therapeutic work is exactly the same as in any other format, with the added benefit of being grounded in the real-life environment where you actually live.
For many women, home is where they feel most themselves — and that can make it significantly easier to open up, engage with difficult emotions, and do meaningful work.
This service may be a good fit if you
Feel most at ease in your own environment
Experience anxiety, agoraphobia, or other barriers that make leaving home difficult
Would benefit from including your own animals in sessions
Find traditional clinical settings intimidating or inaccessible
Or prefer a highly personalised approach that works around your space, routine, and daily life.
If you live in Mickleham or Narre Warren and would like to explore whether in-home sessions are right for you, please reach out before booking online so we can discuss your situation together.
One of the most meaningful aspects of in-home sessions is the opportunity to include your own animals.
Your pets know your home, your rhythms, and you — and their familiar presence can support your nervous system in ways that feel completely natural.
Sessions can include gentle interaction with your animals, observation of how they move and respond, and practices that strengthen your connection with them as part of your therapeutic work.
All animal involvement is guided by welfare, safety, and consent. Please note that for health and safety reasons, only your own animals are included in outreach sessions — I don't bring my animals to your home.
Sessions follow the same gentle, collaborative structure as all Pawsitive Directions counselling.
We begin with a check-in, move into grounding and regulation, and then work through whatever feels most present for you that day — using talk-based approaches, animal-assisted moments, mindfulness, or nature observation if your outdoor space allows.
We close with reflection and regulation to ensure you leave feeling settled and supported.
Between-session practices can be woven into your home environment, making it easier to continue the work between appointments
In-home sessions are priced slightly higher than online sessions to account for travel time and the additional preparation involved in bringing professional therapeutic support to you.
The standard session length, suitable for most therapeutic work. Includes 30 minutes of travel and administration time.
Ideal for deeper exploration or when you'd like more time and space to process. Includes 30 minutes of travel and administration time.
Please note: exact pricing and any additional travel considerations will be confirmed at the time of booking.
In-home sessions work best when you have a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly without interruption.
If other people are in the home during a session, this is something we discuss and agree on in advance. Professional boundaries are maintained at all times, and your safety and comfort are always the priority.
In-home counselling is not a crisis or emergency service.
If you are in immediate distress, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or call 000.
If you're not sure, that's completely okay.
The initial session is always held online, which gives us a relaxed, no-pressure space to talk through what you're looking for, explore whether in-home sessions suit your needs, and plan together what your ongoing support will look like.
There's no commitment beyond that first conversation.
In-home counselling is available in Mickleham and Narre Warren.
Your first step is a free 15-minute introductory call — a no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit.
