Online counselling offers flexibility but also involves some risks.

These may include:

• Internet disruptions 
• Technology failures 
• Potential privacy limitations 

We take steps to reduce these risks through secure platforms and practices, consistent with our internal technology security policies 

Clients are responsible for:

• Attending sessions in a private space 
• Using secure internet connections where possible 

Telehealth may not be suitable for all situations, particularly high-risk or crisis scenarios

Animal-assisted counselling is offered in a way that respects both human and animal wellbeing.

• Animals are never forced to participate 
• Interaction is always optional 
• Sessions may include observation rather than interaction 
• Animals may be removed if they show signs of stress 
• Interactions should be enriching and purposeful during sessions not just 'playing' or 'petting'

When involving your own animal:

• You remain responsible for your animal’s behaviour and any resulting risks from that behaviour
• Safety and suitability will be considered 

There are inherent risks (e.g. allergies, scratches, unpredictability), which will be discussed as part of informed consent.

To support high-quality care, we may use secure digital tools, including AI-assisted documentation.

We ensure that:

• Your privacy is protected 
• Data is handled securely 
• Information is reviewed by the counsellor 
• AI is used only as a support tool 

Microphone or audio tools may be used for documentation purposes with your awareness and consent, and recordings are not retained longer than necessary
